In a surprise move the Planning Inspectorate yesterday announced that they will be coming back to Deptford to see and hear more about our case.
A further open hearing has been scheduled for the evening of Wednesday 5 February at the AHOY Centre on Borthwick Street, SE8.
There will also be a site inspection of ‘Deptford Church Street and surroundings’ at 2pm on Thursday 30 January 2014.
This unexpected development suggests that the Inspectors have been impressed by the arguments presented by opponents of the so-called super sewer on Crossfields Green. Thames Water will be forced to make its case over again.
The additional hearing and visit will provide further opportunities for the campaign and for the community to present the case for an alternative to the Green.
Further information about Don’t Dump on Deptford’s Heart next step will be posted here shortly.
